COMMITTEE	FUNCTION
Budget	Presents a workable budget to the board for approval.
Certified Mortgage Banker/Accredited Residential Underwriter/Accredited Residential Originator	Encourages participation in the CMB, ARU, and ARO certifications.
Communications/Public Relations	Oversees production of a quarterly newsletter and a semiannual membership directory.
Conventions/Meetings	Plans TMBA’s Annual Convention by assisting in the selection of industry topics and speakers.
Education	Provides members with an ongoing source of educational opportunities based on industry standards.
Ethics	Investigates complaints and acts in a fact-finding capacity. Assures that members comply with the charter.
Legislative	Communicates with the TMBA lobbyist and works with the local associations for causes of action that meet the purpose of the membership. Also works with the Mortgage Bankers Association (MBA) on federal legislation concerning the real estate mortgage industry.
Membership	Solicits new members and presents their applications to the board for consideration.
Mortgage Banker Political Action Committee	Supports the Mortgage Bankers Association with their PAC efforts.
Nominating	Recommends a slate of officers and directors that members can trust and have confidence in to lead the association.
TMBA Educational Trust Fund	Administers the Tennessee Mortgage Bankers Association Educational Trust Fund by encouraging contributions and granting scholarships.
