Tennessee Mortgage Bankers Association

A powerful voice in government for the real estate finance community.

** Construction Notice: 7/1/09: This website may experience brief downtime or broken links as we work to install a new look this week.  Thank you for your patience.

TMBA was organized in 1960 to promote ethical, efficient, and professional business practices in mortgage financing, benefiting individuals and businesses seeking mortgage loans.  To learn more about our organization, we hope you will browse this site, and contact us to discuss any questions you may have.

TMBA's Mission Statement

The mission of the Tennessee Mortgage Bankers Association is to provide ethical, efficient, and professional business practices of members and their employees by focusing on impartiality, confidentiality, fiduciary responsibility and legal responsibility.  To support this goal, the Association is dedicated to providing effective communication, education and legislative involvement for its members.

Together with the Canons of Ethics and Standards of Practice of the Mortgage Bankers Association of America, which TMBA also has adopted, our Code of Ethics offers a standard for business and personal conduct for TMBA member employees. The TMBA Membership Directory contains a full copy of each of these documents.

TMBA's Purpose

Since 1960, the Tennessee Mortgage Bankers Association has provided the real estate finance community with a voice in both state and federal government.

TMBA encourages the enactment of legislation that enables the mortgage lender to best serve the needs of those individuals and business firms seeking mortgage financing in the state of Tennessee. The association continues to encourage, foster, stimulate, and advance those civic, commercial, financial, and economic interests related to promoting the welfare of mortgage lending in Tennessee.
